Dr. Andrew Ruzich

Dr. Andrew Ruzich is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who earned his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in 1987. A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Ruzich graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1983 with a degree in Biochemistry. He received his internship and residency training at Saint Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh and Summa Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident.

Following his medical training, Dr. Ruzich served for 5 years in the United States Air Force, first as a Flight Surgeon in Texas, and later as Chief of Aeromedical Services at Comiso Air Base, Sicily, and later as Chief of Flight Medicine at RAF Lakenheath, England.

As an ophthalmologist, Dr. Ruzich provides all aspects of medical and surgical eye care, from routine eye exams to treatment of conditions of the eye such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and cataracts. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Pennsylvania Ophthalmology Society, and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
